Hi Rachel, interesting piece and we totally get where you're coming from. Thanks also for the SocialSafe shout out! Status updates are coming down, we're working on enriching that at the moment. We're also pulling together some of the ideals you touched upon here for SocialSafe 2 which will be released within a couple of months. Will be interesting to see what you think of it.

What a great tool that would be. I just used your status exporter and we sat laughed so hard over all the funny memories. Thank you for making that possible.

I would love to see something come of your ideas! How awesome that would be.

Thanks Benton - I had a look at your site today, seems like you were ahead of the curve there :)

Please let me know what you come up with for the status exporter, would love it to get used anywhere.

Best wishes,
Rachel

I love the idea of aggregating memories from various sources into a physical book. My cousins and I created pyxlin.com while we were in college. We envisioned it becoming an app similar to what you describe here. It obviously never reached that point. In fact, its development has been stagnate for a couple of years.

Finding your blog has rekindled a bit of the passion I had for that app. What would you think about us experimenting with your status exporter? Maybe we could import the statuses directly into our typesetting engine.
